Directory of Essential Oils
by Wanda Sellar
Contained within these pages, is a comprehensive guide to Essential Oils, their properties, features, history and myth, precautions, mind, body and effect on the skin itself. I especially liked the history and myth sections giving details about each oil and the way it was used for naturopathy healing. It's one of my Essential Oil go-to books.
The Magical and Ritual Use of Perfumes
by Richard Alan Miller and Iona Miller
This is one of my all-time favorites! It teaches about perfumery and Alchemy and the language of perfume, blending and how to incorporate perfumes in rituals. Included in the description of each of the Essential Oils, are the Qabala, Geographic origins and brief history. There's a 'The Essence of the Path' chapter that is about the Tree of Life and gaining access to the sub-conscious through scent and ritual.
